Our room was comfortable with plenty of space a nice balcony and furnished to a high albeit old fashioned standard with good cloths storage spaces and a high quality en-suit with separate shower and bath. The breakfast was good with serve yourself hot and cold food, teas and toast were waiter served. The service was good and attentive. Car parking good and always available.
The water presure in the shower was painfully high. Tv had limited teresteral chanels. Bath towels were small.

The food was excellent and the location was very good and we would be happy to come and stay again in the future.
When we come again we would want a sea view as our room was situated on the back of the Hotel. The only real complaint we had was the noisey seagulls in a morning.

The newly decorated room was fresh and very comfortable. The bathroom was great.
The room and hotel generally was very hot. We had our window opened the whole time to let air in the room. Air conditioning would help greatly.

missingWrote a review on 22 Augbreakfast varietyoutdoor poolroom temperature
Excellent breakfast spread with a variety of fresh breads and hot dishes, made mornings enjoyable. Outdoor pool area maintained well, though a bit hidden.
Room temperature can be uncomfortable without air conditioning. Had to request a fan. Shower controls were tricky to adjust, leading to some frustrating experiences. The menu for dinner seemed quite limited. It might be beneficial for the hotel to expand their offerings.

The location marvellous on the seafront. Spotlessly clean and airy room with coffee and tea making equipment, multi-channel television, and a writing desk, and exceptionally comfortable bed. The staff - very pleasant and amicable.

Staff were very pleasant, even at silly o,clock when I forgot my key lol Very helpful and efficient. Rooms spotless, a few little things missing, like a shower cap for one and also a couple more hooks for hanging towels etc. But thats picky, plenty of tea/coffee etc. lovely room in all. Breakfast was very good, a good choice of fruit juices, Full English or build your own? Fantastic I did this, much better for me. Evening meal was only taken one night, but excellent, no complaints. Late season so bar was closed, but I think if you had asked at reception they would have obliged. Very good would stay again
No real complaints....except, it was all over too quick, wanted to stay longer

Clean family room with amazing sea views, perfect for beach access. The breakfast had plenty of choices, but the lack of air conditioning made it uncomfortable during the day.

Very comfortable huge bed. Warm bathroom with large fluffy towels. Very old bath which was worn but deep and comfortable with loads of hot water; also powerful shower pressure. Original Victorian features of building are interesting. The location of our room at front of building overlooking bay (across main road) was quite picturesque, but hotel is in a mainly residential area. The reception staff were friendly but not particularly attentive.
The decor is tired, mostly 60s-70s.... The building has such great potential to be beautiful but it is lack-lustre at the moment. Breakfast was adequate but the staff were not very attentive; for two mornings I was in the dining room as a woman on her own but I had to finally walk over to a waiter and ask for some tea etc as I was completely ignored, even by the person I assume was a manager, who just stood looking at me! There were some maintenance issues in the bathroom; mainly a badly broken window blind, which I had to prop up as the window faced directly onto a busy road and pavement...without the blind, people could look directly in!! This is quite a nice hotel but it really does need a lot of tlc to bring it up to it's potential. (Management may also now want to remove Jimmy Saville from the list of past celebrity guests in their info folder)

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food well-cooked. Location gave the best of coast and City. Lots of interesting restaurants nearby including a Thai on the beach with excellent quality food. Bus stop very close. Bar entertainment good.
